Peepz, Inc. ("Peepz," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Peepz mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Account information (name, email address, profile details)
• Content you create or share within the app (messages, plans, posts)
• Photos and videos you capture using the camera or select from your photo library (for profile pictures, posts, and messages)

Information collected automatically:

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
• Usage data (features used, interactions, session length)
• Log data (IP address, app crash reports, timestamps)
• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Apple, Google, or another provider, we receive basic profile information from that service consistent with your permissions.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Peepz app
• Personalize your experience and power AI features
• Send you service-related communications
• Moderate content and enforce our Community Standards and Terms of Service
• Ensure safety and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, content moderation)
• Other users, to the extent you share content within the app
• Law enforcement or legal process when required by law

Google Calendar Integration

When you connect a Google Calendar account to Peepz, we access and use certain information from your Google account to power features like your encounters feed and contacts. This section explains what we access, how we use it, and your controls. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Access

We request read-only access, limited to what the feature needs:

• The calendars in your account (and your access level for each), so you can choose which ones to sync.
• Events on the calendars you enable — limited to a window of recent and upcoming events, not your full history — including their details and attendees.
• Basic contact details (such as a name, photo, and organization) for the people who appear as attendees in your events — looked up against your Google contacts and, for Workspace accounts, your organization's directory — so we can show you who you're meeting.

We do not access your Gmail or Drive, and we do not request permission to change your calendar.

Data Use

We use this information solely to provide and improve the Peepz features you've enabled:

• To build your encounters — a private view of the people you've recently met with or are about to meet.
• To create and maintain your private contacts, and to add basic details like a photo, name, and organization so the people in your meetings are easier to recognize.
• To let you optionally turn an event into a Pack and invite its attendees.
• To confirm that you control the email address of the connected account.

We do not use your Google data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train generalized or artificial-intelligence models. Our team does not access your Google data except with your consent, to maintain security or investigate abuse, to comply with applicable law, or in an aggregated form that does not identify you.

Data Transfer

Your calendar-derived data — including the contacts we build from your events — is private to your account by default. No other Peepz user can see it. Information is shared only when you take an action that shares it, such as promoting an event into a Pack or inviting attendees.

We use trusted infrastructure providers to operate the feature (most notably Google Cloud Platform), which process data only on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not otherwise transfer your Google data to third parties, except to comply with applicable law, as part of a merger or acquisition (with notice to you), or with your consent. We never share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

Data Protection

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest and strict internal access controls. The credentials that let us sync your calendar are stored encrypted and are never exposed in the app or in our logs, and we use Google's standard, secure authorization process.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your calendar data only for as long as needed to provide the feature, and we sync only a limited window of recent and upcoming events rather than your full history. In addition:

• Disconnecting a calendar — you can disconnect at any time; we delete the stored credential, and you can choose whether to also remove the events we've archived.
• Revoking access — you can revoke access anytime from your Google Account permissions, and we stop syncing.
• Deleting your account — we revoke our access and delete the associated calendar data, derived contacts, and stored credentials.

If you turn a calendar event into a Pack, that Pack remains part of your Peepz account even if you later remove the underlying calendar data, because it has become content you created within Peepz.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@peepz.ai.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Contact us at privacy@peepz.ai to exercise these rights.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Peepz is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@peepz.ai and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
